Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 21 August 2026
Welcome to National Shifting. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using our website and our moving services. When you use our website or book a move, you agree to these rules. Please read them with care. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About National Shifting
National Shifting is a moving and relocation service provider based in Gurugram, Haryana. We provide moving services directly. For some moves, we may also use authorised moving partners to perform or assist with part of the work. When a partner helps with your move, you still deal with National Shifting, and the same booking terms apply.
Who Can Use Our Service
You must be at least 18 years old to use our website and book a move. When you use our services, you confirm that you are old enough and that the details you give are true and complete.
Our Services
We help you plan and carry out your move. This can include a survey of your goods, packing, loading, transport, unloading, and delivery. The exact services are the ones listed in your quotation.
Getting a Quote and Booking
- You share your move details, and we give you a price estimate.
- After we review your goods and needs, we give you a final quotation.
- The estimate is only a rough idea. The final quotation is the confirmed price for the services listed in it.
- Your booking is confirmed when you accept the final quotation.
Optional Insurance
Before you accept your final quotation, you can choose whether to add insurance or protection for your goods. This choice is yours.
- If you choose insurance: you tell us the value of your goods (the declared value). We add a premium based on that value. The premium is usually a small percentage of the declared value, generally in the range of 3% to 5%, and the exact amount is shown in your quotation. The insurance is subject to its own terms, conditions, and exclusions.
- If you decline insurance: we record your choice in your quotation, and your move follows the applicable uninsured terms. This choice does not remove any responsibility that we have by law or under your service agreement.
You must declare the value of your goods honestly. A wrong or incomplete declaration may affect a claim. Please ask us if anything about the insurance is unclear before you accept your quotation.
Your Responsibilities
To help your move go smoothly, please:
- Give correct and complete details about your goods, your locations, and your move.
- Declare the value of your goods honestly if you choose insurance.
- Tell us about any special or high-value items in advance.
- Give safe access at both the pickup and the delivery address.
- Be present, or send someone you trust, at pickup and delivery.
- Check your goods at delivery and tell us about any problem promptly.
- Only send legal items. Do not send banned or dangerous goods.
Items You Cannot Send
For safety and legal reasons, we do not move or insure items such as:
- Cash, jewellery, precious metals, or other very high-value valuables, unless we agree in writing.
- Illegal goods, drugs, or weapons.
- Explosives, flammable, or hazardous materials.
- Perishable food or live animals, unless the service clearly allows it.
Prices, Charges, and Payment
Your final quotation shows the price for the listed services. The price can change if your actual needs are different from what you first told us. For example, extra charges may apply for:
- Changes you request after booking.
- Goods that were not disclosed at the time of the quote.
- Different access conditions, such as no lift, long carrying distance, or parking limits.
- Extra services, such as packing, dismantling, reassembly, or storage.
We will explain any extra charge before we apply it. Please pay as agreed in your quotation. Always keep your quotation and receipts.
Cancellation and Rescheduling
Plans can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please tell us as early as you can. Cancellation and rescheduling rules, including any charges, depend on the timing and the stage of your move. Please see our Refund Policy for full details.
Refunds
If a refund applies, we will handle it as set out in our Refund Policy. The treatment of any insurance premium depends on the stage of your move and the insurance terms. Please read the Refund Policy for details.
Damage, Loss, and Claims
If something is damaged or missing, please tell us promptly and keep the item and its packing. To help us, please share your booking or quotation number, photographs, and the inventory details.
- If you chose the optional insurance, your claim will follow the applicable insurance process, terms, and exclusions.
- A service complaint, such as a delay or a scheduling issue, is handled separately from an insurance claim.
Partner-Assisted Moves
We may carry out your move using our own team and vehicles, or we may use an authorised moving partner to perform or assist with part of your move. We may do this based on your location, the route, availability, or other service needs. Using a partner does not change your booking terms or your responsibilities.
Delivery and Delays
We work to deliver your goods on time. Sometimes a delay can happen for reasons such as traffic, weather, or road conditions. If a delay is likely, we will try to inform you and agree a new time.
Our Responsibility and Limits
We take responsibility for the services you book with us. To the extent allowed by law, our responsibility is limited to the services listed in your quotation. We are not responsible for indirect or unexpected losses, for loss or damage caused by wrong or incomplete information you gave us, or for items you were asked not to send. Nothing in these Terms removes any right that the law does not allow us to remove.
Reviews and Content
If you post a review or other content, please keep it honest, lawful, and respectful. We may show, moderate, or remove content in line with our policies.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page. If you keep using our services after a change, you agree to the new Terms.
